How Producto’s directory works
Producto combines self-reported product listings, real user reviews, and clearly labeled staff commentary. These rules keep the source of each contribution understandable.
Product listings
Vendors and users can submit product listings. Each profile identifies whether it came from a vendor, the community, or Producto, and factual updates can be proposed by anyone.
User reviews
Ratings and written reviews come from users. Reviews enter a basic spam and abuse check before publication; Producto does not rewrite them as staff opinion.
Editorial notes
Staff may add short commentary to a listing. It is always labeled Editorial note and remains visually separate from user reviews.
Claiming a listing
A company representative can request the free claim tier to manage product details. Claims are manually approved in this initial scaffold.
Featured placement
Featured placement is a paid upgrade. It is clearly labeled, and its outbound links automatically use rel="sponsored". Payment and activation are not part of this release.
Affiliate relationships
Affiliate links are labeled and use rel="sponsored". A commercial relationship does not turn a product into an editorial pick.
Corrections and safety
Corrections, reviews, submissions, and claim requests are rate-limited and protected by an anti-spam check. They do not change a public listing automatically.
